General

What does the warning symbol mean?

A triangle with exclamation mark indicates:

• Sync issue: Email couldn’t sync with Gmail. Usually resolves in seconds. Cmd+R to reload.
• Send failure: Email didn’t go through. Open the thread for error details and retry.
• Automation error: A trigger encountered a problem. Check Settings > Automations for details.

What happens to overdue tasks?

Tasks past their due date move to the Overdue group in the Tasks panel (p t). They stay visible until you complete, reschedule, or delete them. They don’t auto-archive.

How do I open the AI sidebar?

Press p a (two key presses: p then a) or Cmd+Shift+L. Ask questions, draft emails, create automations, search, and manage calendar in natural language. Close with Cmd+. or click outside.

Can I use multiple email accounts?

Yes. Settings > Account > Add Account. Switch with Alt+0-9. Each inbox has its own labels, automations, and settings. The AI agent accesses all connected inboxes.

Does Slashy work offline?

Slashy requires internet for most features. The desktop and web apps cache recent emails for brief offline reading, but you cannot send, search, or use AI features without a connection.

What data does Slashy store?

Account info, AI memories, automations, snippets, labels, settings, cached email data, tracking data, and tasks. Slashy does not store your Gmail password — authentication uses Google OAuth. Your emails remain in Gmail. See Data Storage for full details.

How do I delete my account?

Email [e-mail] from your Slashy email address. All data is permanently removed. Gmail is unaffected. See Disconnect, Pause, or Reconnect for softer options.

Why does the AI sometimes get labels wrong?

Classification improves over time. Move misclassified emails to the correct label with l or v — this trains the model. Accuracy improves significantly by week 3-4. Adjust label descriptions in Settings > Labels for better guidance.

Can I use Google Workspace accounts?

Yes. Same setup process as personal Gmail. If your organization restricts third-party apps, your Workspace admin may need to approve Slashy in the admin console.

Does Slashy read my emails?

The AI processes email content to provide labels, drafts, search, and automations. Slashy does not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it outside of providing the service. See AI Privacy and the Privacy Policy.

AI & Automations

How accurate are AI drafts?

Accuracy improves as the agent learns your style. In week 1, expect to edit most drafts. By week 3-4, the agent matches your tone for routine replies. Add memories in Settings > Memories to accelerate training — describe your role, writing style, and common phrases.

Can I limit what the agent does automatically?

Yes. Enable Read Mode in Settings > Account to restrict the agent to search, read, and draft only — it cannot send, archive, or modify anything. You can also add a memory like “Always draft for my review, never send directly.” See Agent Autonomy.

How do I turn off an automation?

Settings > Automations — find the trigger and toggle it off or delete it. Disabled automations keep their configuration so you can re-enable later.

Why did my automation not fire?

Common reasons: the email or event did not match the trigger condition, the automation was paused, or Read Mode was enabled. Check Settings > Automations for the trigger’s recent activity log.

Compatibility & Requests

Does Slashy work with Outlook or Microsoft 365?

Slashy connects to Gmail and Google Workspace today. Outlook and Microsoft 365 are on the radar. If your work email is on Microsoft, you can still connect a personal or company Gmail account in the meantime. Email [e-mail] to register interest, it helps us prioritize.

Is there an Android app?

The mobile app is iOS today. On Android, use Slashy in your browser, and connect the iMessage agent or Slack agent to get full Slashy actions from your phone by text. A native Android app is on the roadmap.

Can I use Slashy for a shared or team inbox?

Slashy is one account per person today, each connecting their own inboxes. Shared and delegated inboxes are under consideration. For collaboration now, use comments and mentions to loop teammates in on a thread.

Can Slashy run a multi-step follow-up sequence?

Yes, through automations and reminders. Set up a follow-up automation that drafts the next touch when someone hasn’t replied, and let auto-reminders keep surfacing the thread until they do. See Never miss a follow-up.

Billing & Plans

Is there a free trial?

Yes. New users get a full-featured trial. No credit card required to start. Visit slashy.com for current pricing and trial details.

Can I bring my own API key (BYOK)?

Yes. Go to Settings > AI > API Key and paste your Anthropic API key to unlock Opus. You pay Anthropic directly and Slashy does not charge for AI usage on BYOK plans. See Customize Your Agent for setup steps.
